Plums begin to ripen

Today is the first harvest day of plums 'Oh-ishi Wase'.  'Wase' means early‐ripening.  This variety is less sourer and suitable to eat as it is.  Today we harvested about 30 plums, and share with neighbors. We can enjoy them for a couple of weeks.

Many plums have ripened.

Beautiful red color contrasts to green.

We'd eaten some of them right away.  This is one of the happiest moment of gardening.

  1. That looks to be one scrumptious dessert plum! I love plums, especially when they are lovely and ripe so the juice runs.

I do appreciate your comments very much - they enhance my day. Thank You.
