AUTUMN WILD FRUITS
Strong wind of a typhoon #18 had made many acorns fall to the ground, even as a branch.
A red fruit of Trichosanthes cucumeroides was found at a roadside. Its white flower with fine lace was written in the old post in July.
A cultivar variety of Akebia trifoliata bears pure purple fruits in this season. It spontaneously opens and sausage-shaped sweet jelly material containing seeds appears. Skin is edible by frying.
These are red rose hips of wild 'Rosa multiflora' in the kitchen garden.
Miscanthus sinensis, a native grass in Japan, ,has red-brown flower at the beginning and it become white due to seeds with white hairs. Almost all leaves of cherry 'Somei-Yoshino' has already fallen.
