Petit English Garden of MARPLE & POIROT

My wife and I started gardening in Fukuoka (Japan) in 2003. There was nothing but muddy clayey sloping land. At the beginning we made several structure such as steps and paths, and planted turf, fruit trees, roses, herbs etc. In 2010, we visited several famous English gardens, including Sissinghurst Castle Garden, Mottisfont Abbey Garden and Hidcote Manor Garden. We were shocked by the glory of those gardens. Since then, we have been trying to make small but glorious gardens by ourselves.

庭の紹介

　夫婦で庭づくりを福岡の郊外で2003年に始めました.　赤土むきだしの斜面にまず階段や園路をつくって芝をはり、果樹やバラ、ハーブなどを植えました.

　2010年にイギリスの有名なガーデンの、シシングハースト、モティスフォントアビー、ヒドコートマナーなどを回り、その素晴らしさに圧倒され、それから自分たちで小さくても素晴らしい庭をめざして庭づくりをつづけています.

TAKING A WALK IN THE EARLY MORNING WITH THE BEAUTIFUL MOON (月が美しい早朝の散歩)

We take a walk in the early morning almost every day year round.

We start at 6 o'clock, and the sun rises at around 7:30 in mid-winter,

therefore, we walk in the darkness this season.

The moon is bright and beautiful these few days.

I heard that there was a total lunar eclipse 20-21 January, and it was seen

in North and South America, UK and Scandinavia.

We couldn't look at it, but the moon looked a bit larger than usual.

ほぼ一年中私たちは早朝に散歩をします.

6時ごろ出発し、日の出は真冬は7時半ごろなので、

この季節は暗い中を歩きます.

ここ数日は明るくて美しい月がみられました.

20日から21日にかけて南北アメリカ、英国、そしてスカンジナビアで

皆既日食が見られたと聞きました.

私たちは見ることは出来ませんでしたが、いつもより少し月が大きく見えました.

I leave home for work before 7:30 on weekdays, and I can't see the sunrise at home, however, I can look at the beautiful sunrise in front of our house on weekends.
