Japanese apricot (Prunus mume, or 'ume' in Japanese) is a very popular flower
for more than a thousand years in Japan.
Ume usually starts to flower
at the end of January or the beginning of February in our area.
Today we found three flowers opened in the bluebell garden.
So, it is earlier than usual, maybe because of warm weather this winter.
梅は千年以上も昔から日本では人気のある花です.
私たちの地方では一月の終わりから2月の始めにかけて普通は開花します.
今日、ブルーベルの庭で梅が3輪開いているのを見つけました.
例年より早いですが、たぶん暖冬のせいでしょう.
