PINK PETALS SPREAD OVER THE NEW GARDEN (庭に散るピンクの花びら)

Cherry blossum petals have started to fall.
In the new garden, a number of pink petals spread over the compost bins
and leaves of plants.  

桜の花が散り始め、
新しい庭ではコンポスト容器や新しい葉っぱの上に落ちています.

There was a rain fall last night, and the petals stick on the new leaves of 

Tsuwabuki (Farfugium japonicum) and hydrangea. 

昨夜は雨で、ピンクの花びらがツワブキ（上）やアジサイ（下）の
新緑に張り付いています.

Leaves of English bluebell are growing and they'll be flowering

in a couple of weeks.  

イングリッシュブルーベルの葉が大きくなり、2週間ほどで咲きそうです. 

Helleborus and tulips are still in bloom and look beautiful.  

クリスマスローズやチューリップは今も美しく咲いています.

YELLOW WILD FLOWER - LEOPARD PLANT (黄色い野生の花 ツワブキ)

At the end of October,
yellow wild (native to Japan) flowers of leopard plant (Farfugium japonicum)
become in bloom here and there in our garden
as well as in our neighbourhood.  

It is evergreen plant,
and we use it as a ground-cover plant.

Contrast of the yellow flowers to blue and purple flowers
such as salvia and cuphea is so stunning.


十月の終わりごろには
ツワブキが黄色い野草の花（日本原産）を
ご近所ではもちろん、うちの庭でもあちこちに咲かせます。

常緑の植物で
グランドカバーとして利用しています。

この黄色い花とサルビアやクフェアの青や紫の花色との
対比がとてもきれいです。

With Salvia guaranitica　（サルビアガラニチカと）

With cuphea　（クフェアと）

With young leaves of narucissus　（スイセンの若葉と）

With hellebore and a hedgehog?　（クリスマスローズ、ハリネズミ？と）

TSUWABUKI （ツワブキ）

Tsuwabuki (Farfugium japonicum) is ever green and hardy in winter, and it is valuable in a desolate winter garden.  It is native in most of Japan.  Its flowers are vivid yellow in autumn.
