HELLEBORES SHINING IN THE SUNLIGHT (陽射しに輝くクリスマスローズ)
Hellebores have been blooming here and there in the garden since last month. In the spot deep within the shade garden that catches the morning sun well, many pink flowers are in bloom. And beside the steps leading up to the garden from below, numerous white flowers (cream-coloured with a yellowish tinge upon closer inspection) are blooming. They appear to glow in the morning sunlight.
クリスマスローズが庭のあちこちで先月から花を咲かせています。シェードガーデンの奥の朝日がよく当たるところではピンクの花がたくさん咲いています。そして、下から庭に上がる階段の横には白い（よく見ると黄色味がかったクリーム色）の花がたくさん咲いています。朝の太陽の光を浴びて輝いて見えます。

DOUBLE AND SINGLE HELLEBORES (八重と一重のクリスマスローズ)
The winter has been colder than usual and the hellebores are in full bloom about three weeks later than usual.
The potted double Christmas roses have bloomed gorgeously this year again.
The single hellebores growing all over the garden, including in the shade garden and the bluebell garden, are also blooming well.
It is exciting to think that spring will soon be in full bloom.
冬が例年より寒く、３週間ほど遅れてクリスマスローズが満開となっています。
鉢植えの八重のクリスマスローズは今年も豪華に咲いてくれました。シ
ェードガーデンやブルーベルの庭など、庭のあちこちに育っている一重のクリスマスローズも元気に咲いています。
もうすぐ春満開になりそうで、わくわくします。

SINGLE AND DOUBLE HELLEBORES (一重と八重のクリスマスローズ)
It's time for hellebores to bloom. We have been growing single pink ones in the shade garden for ten years now. They shine in the morning sun.
The potted pink double hellebore has been growing for five years. It looks gorgeous with so many flowers.
We will be able to enjoy both for a while.
クリスマスローズが咲く季節になりました。シェードガーデンではピンクの一重のクリスマスローズをもう10年ほど育てています。朝日を浴びて輝いています。
鉢植えのピンクの八重のクリスマスローズは5年ほど育てています。とてもたくさん花をつけて豪華に見えます。
両方ともしばらく楽しめそうです。

BLUEBELL GARDEN IN EARLY APRIL (四月初めのブルーベリーの庭)
In April, the native tulips have started to bloom in the bluebell garden. Allium triquetrum is already in full bloom and the bluebells, the star of the show, are waiting impatiently for their flowers to appear.
The bluebells have been growing straight up, but the leaves have fallen over a little. By the time the flowers bloom, the leaves will be lying down and the flowers will be standing up, so that from a low eye point the whole area will be blue.
I found a bluebell about to open at the base of a pear tree at the top of the slope. I'm excited.
四月に入ってブルーベルの庭では原種のチューリップが咲き始めました. すでにミツカドネギは満開となり、主役のブルーベルの花が咲くのを今か今かと待っている状況です.
まっすぐ上に伸びていたブルーベルは葉が少し倒れてきています. 花が咲くころには葉は寝てしまい、花が立ち上がって咲くので、低い位置からみると一面が青色になります.
斜面の一番上の洋ナシの木の株元に今にも開きそうなブルーベルを見つけました. ワクワクしてきました.

PINK HELLEBORES (ピンクのクリスマスローズ)
In the garden, the in-ground hellebores are beginning to flower. In the main garden, under the plum tree, next to the acanthus and the gibbous. They have also started to flower in the upper part of the bluebell garden. The flowers can be enjoyed until spring.
庭では地植えのクリスマスローズが咲き始めています。メインガーデンではスモモの木の下のアカンサスやギボウシの隣のあたりです. ブルーベルの庭の上のほうでも咲き始めました. 春まで花を楽しめます.

HELLEBORUS HAS STARTED TO BLOOM (クリスマスローズが咲き始め)
The potted Christmas rose started to flower about two weeks ago. About ten flowers have already opened. They are face down, so you have to look up a little to see them clearly. So I put them on the edge of the terraced herb beds.
鉢植えのクリスマスローズが二週間ほど前から咲き始めました. すでに10輪ほどの花が開いています. 俯き気味に下を向いていて、少し下から見ないとよく見えません. それで、ハーブの段々畑の縁に置いて楽しんでいます.

HELLEBORE (クリスマスローズ)
A hybrid double hellebore in a pot is blooming beautifully. It is the same hellebore that we were surprised to see blooming in June this year. The breed has been improved so much that it blooms much longer.
鉢植えのハイブリッドの八重のクリスマスローズがきれいに咲いています. 今年の六月にも咲いて驚いた、あのクリスマスローズです. 品種改良が重ねられて、ずいぶん長く咲くようになっているのですね。

HELLEBORUS IS FLOWERING AGAIN (クリスマスローズがまた咲きました)
Helleborus blooms from January to March. Helleborus that I planted beside hostas and acanthus under the plum tree has recently started to bloom again. This is unusual.
クリスマスローズは1月から3月ごろに開花します. ギボウシとアカンサスを植えているスモモの木の下の端っこに植えたクリスマスローズが、最近また咲きだしました. 異例です.
