It's the last day of August today, and is raining all day.
I've taken a two days' holiday and I am continuing to translate the English gardening book (The Ornamental Kitchen Garden).
In the morning, I took a walk in my neighbourhood and went through our garden with my wife.
It was cool and it stopped raining a while when we walk.

Ginger lilies had swept down by the strong wind of the typhoon and one of it had almost been broken. At the top of it, beautiful white flowers with a sweet scent were in bloom. So, I cut the flowers and put the flower in the fountain head.

New shoots with reddish green leaves have grown from the stump of a pink siris tree, getting around the table fixed on the top of the stump. The iron chicken on the table is a watering pot. My wife bought it in Cornwall last year.

A red lycoris has started to bloom.
It usually flowers around the autumnal equinox in our area.
（赤い彼岸花が咲き始めています。このあたりではふつうは秋分の日のころに咲くのですが。）
A chaste tree is in bloom since July. I love its lavender colour.
（セイヨウニンンジンボクの花が七月から咲いています。このラベンダー色の花が好きです。）
