Several years ago I found a small pink silk tree or pink siris (Albizia julibrissin) one meter high in our garden. It seemed to have grown wildly from a seed.
Now it is 5 meter high, and flowers every summer for four years.

A pink siris is in front of the bench, and it provides dappled shade in the morning. |
|
It's a short spell of temperate weather during the rainy season, when the pink siris shows fluffy flowers. |

Fluffy pink flowerheads are so pretty on fine days, however, they often get wet and look miserable in the rainy season. |
That is such a French tree! They grew all over parts of France and looked so lovely.
