It is now time to harvest the green soybeans that were sown in the potager pentagonal raised beds in late May. They are very easy to grow and require no special work.
The beans are harvested by cutting the branches at ground level and removing the bean pods one by one.
They are immediately boiled and served with beer.
The rest was frozen.
五月下旬にポタジェの五角形のレイズドベッドに種まきをした枝豆が収穫の時期となりました. 特別な作業は不要で、栽培はとても容易です.
枝ごと地際で切り取って収穫し、マメのさやを一つづつ取ります.
さっそく茹でてビールのおつまみにいただきました.
残りは冷凍しました.
Wisteria blooms in late April in our region. In our garden, we trained it on a brick wall and it flowered beautifully for the first time in spring this year. Now, in late July, it is starting to flower again. Wisteria sometimes blooms again in summer, but never in such abundance.
The flowers are visited by bees, which feed on the nectar.
I found seeds on the spring flowers.
藤は当地では四月下旬に咲きます. 私たちの庭ではレンガ塀の上に誘引して、今年の春に初めてたくさん綺麗に咲いてくれました. そして今、七月の下旬に再度花を咲かせ始めています. 藤は夏に返り咲きすることはありますが、こんなにたくさん咲くのも初めてです.
花にはハナバチが来て、蜜を吸っています.

I looked up at the beautiful blue morning sky, and saw many dragonflies dancing.

It's going to be hot again today.

There are about six blueberry trees on the slope of the garden behind the small pool of water lilies made from a bathtub.
The white and pink water lilies have been blooming repeatedly since around May.
The blueberries started to ripen gradually at the beginning of July and harvesting has begun.
We pick them early in the morning as it is very hot during the day and there are many mosquitoes.
We eat them as they are or make jam.
バスタブで作ったスイレンの小池の後ろの庭の斜面にブルーベリーの木が6本ほどあります.
5月ごろから白とピンクのスイレンの花が繰り返し咲いています.
ブルーベリーは7月のはじめから少しずつ熟し始めて、収穫が始まりました.
日中はとても暑くて蚊も多いので、早朝に収穫をしています.
そしてそのまま食べたり、ジャムを作ったりしています.

The first thing you see when you enter through the entrance at the bottom of the garden is the dwarf crape myrtle in bloom now. The entrance gate was newly made in the colours of the Ukrainian flag after the Russian invasion of Ukraine last year.
While the normal crape myrtle grows quite tall, this dwarf one only grows to about 1 metre at most and can be kept a little smaller when potted.
It first flowers in July, but flowers again a month or so later. Prune back this year's growth at the end of the season and it will grow new branches and flower again next season.
庭の下の入り口から入ると、最初に目に入るのが今咲いている矮性のサルスベリです. 入り口の門は昨年ウクライナがロシアに進攻されてから、ウクライナの国旗の色を配して新たに作ったものです.
通常のサルスベリはかなり高く育ちますが、この矮性のサルスベリはせいぜい1メートルほどにしか育たず、鉢植えにするとさらにもう少し小さく維持していくことができます.
最初に七月に花を咲かせますが、一か月ほどしてまた花をつけます. 今年伸びた枝をシーズンの終わりに剪定すると、また来シーズンに新しい枝を伸ばして花を咲かせてくれます.
