THE MAIN GARDEN AT THE BEGINNING OF MAY (五月初めのメインガーデン)
The first Saturday in May was a lovely day. The roses are gradually beginning to bloom in the garden. We’ll be holding an open garden next weekend (Saturday and Sunday). Beautiful flowers and wonderful scents will welcome all our visitors. Let’s hope for fine weather!
五月の最初の土曜日、いいお天気でした。庭では少しずつバラが咲き始めています。次の週末（土曜、日曜）はオープンガーデンです。美しい花や素晴らしい香りが来園の皆様をお迎えします。いいお天気に恵まれますように！

ROSE STARTED TO BLOOM IN THE POTAGER (ポタジェでバラが咲き始めました)
The potager garden is looking increasingly vibrant as the foxgloves come into full bloom. The ‘Cocktail’ red roses have also begun to bloom in abundance. The season when the garden is at its most beautiful has arrived.
ポタジェガーデンではジギタリスがたくさん咲いてきて華やかになってきました。そして赤いバラのカクテルもたくさん咲き始めました。庭が最も輝く季節がやってきました。

The Echium candicans is still in bloom. On fine days, a constant stream of insects comes to feed on its nectar. Among those visiting at this time were the Common Bluebottle, with its beautiful blue-green vertical stripes; the Nagasaki Swallowtail, Japan’s largest swallowtail; Xylocopa (large bumblebee); Bombus ignitus; and honeybees. Please take a look at the sight of all these insects flitting about.
エキウムカンディカンスが咲き続けています。お天気のより日にはたくさんの蜜を吸う昆虫たちが入れ替わり立ち代わりして訪れます。この時来ていたのは青緑色の縦筋が美しいアオスジアゲハ、日本で最も大きいアゲハのナガサキアゲハ、クマバチ、クロマルハナバチ、ミツバチなどです。たくさんの虫たちが飛び回る様子をご覧ください。
