At the beginning of the last June, I read an article 'Bring back the buttonhole' in the magazine 'GARDEN ILLUSTRATED' (the June number).
'Buttonholes' looked so fantastic, and I looked for flower holders at antique shops
in Cotswolds, however, I couldn't find them.
A few weeks ago, I happened to find flower holder broaches on internet,
and finally I've got one.
It was made from a hollow handle of an antique silver-plated cutlery (probably knife)
The on-line shop said it's made in 1930's.
The flower holder has a considerable capacity,
and cut flowers will last for a longer time, I guess.
6月の初めにガーデンイラストレーテッド誌（6月号）に
「ボタン穴に飾る花を復活させよう」
という記事を見つけました。
とても素敵だったので、花を飾るための小さな容器をコッツウォルズの
アンティークショップで探しましたが見つかりませんでした
何週間か前に、たまたまインターネットでその容器（フラワーホルダー）を見つけ
ついに手に入れることができました
シルバープレート製のカトラリー（たぶんナイフ）の中空の柄から作ったもので
お店によれば1930年代製とのこと
このフラワーホルダーは結構容積があり
切り花も長持ちしそうです

I picked cut flowers in our garden this morning.
They include;
A flower heads of Lantana montevidensis and Vitex agnus-castus,
and leaves of rosemary.
Then, I arranged them in the flower holder,
and pinned it on the lapel of my double-breasted jacket.
I liked it and I'll wear it on some occasion.
今朝、庭で花を切ってきました
コバノランタナとセイヨウニンジンボクの花
それにローズマリーの葉
そしてフラワーホルダーに花をアレンジして
ダブルのジャケットの襟にピンどめ
気に入ったので、時々つけようと思います
