The rose geraniums and cherry sage are still in bloom. The cleome, which has become a perennial in our garden, has also started to flower. As we enter the rainy season and the weather becomes wetter, we plan to prune the herbs in the herb beds.
ローズゼラニウムやチェリーセージが咲き続けています。宿根草化したクレオメも花を咲かせ始めました。梅雨に入って雨が多くなる季節、ハーブ畑ではハーブたちの切り戻しなどを行う予定です。
A variety of herbs are growing in the terraced herb beds. Rose geraniums, cherry sage and Salvia guaranitica are currently in bloom. Bees and hawk moths come to the flowers to feed on their nectar. A little pruning is needed to improve air circulation before the rainy season begins.
ハーブの段々畑ではいろいろなハーブ類が育っています。ローズゼラニウムやチェリーセージ、サルビアガラニチカの花が咲いています。花にはミツバチやスズメガなどが蜜を吸いにやってきています。梅雨に入る前に風通しを良くするために、少し選定作業が必要です。

Spring is now in full swing, and the terraced herb beds are bustling with lush herbs and flowers. Along the fence above, the Jasminum polyanthum is in bloom, filling the garden with its sweet fragrance.
春本番でハーブの段々畑もハーブや草花が茂ってきてにぎやかです。その上にあるフェンスではハゴロモジャスミンが咲いて甘い香りが庭に漂っています。

Herbs such as rosemary, lavender and mint are growing thick in the barb beds. Cherry sage has red flowers and rose geraniums are beginning to bloom with pink flowers. We are finally entering the rainy season and a hot and humid summer.
バーブ畑ではローズマリー、ラベンダー、ミントなどのハーブたちが茂ってきています。チェリーセージは赤い花をつけ、ローズゼラニウムもピンクの花が咲き始めています。いよいよ梅雨の季節に入り、蒸し暑い夏がやってきています。
In the herb terraces, the chamomile that bloomed so beautifully in spring is gone, and now the rose geraniums (pink flowers) and cherry sage (red flowers) continue to bloom, plus the lavender has started to produce blue flowers.
The rainy season is just around the corner and the herbs need to be cut back to cope with the high temperatures and humidity.
ハーブの段々畑では春に美しく咲いたカモミールはなくなり、今はローズゼラニウム（ピンクの花）とチェリーセージ（赤い花）に加えて、ラベンダーが青い花を咲かせ始めました。
梅雨入り間近で、ハーブたちも切り戻しなどして高温と湿度の対策をそろそろ必要です。
Lavender flowers have started to bloom in the herb garden. As the rainy season is about to start, I will cut the flowers soon.
The cherry sage continues to flower. The rose geraniums have few flowers but smell very nice. I cut the mint short for the rainy season.

The central flower bed in the centre of the main garden is a mixture of roses, perennials and annuals. It is located just outside the garden room window and overlooks the herb terraces beyond. The herbs are now growing and flourishing in addition to the flowers that have been blooming since spring. The mixture of different coloured foliage looks beautiful.
メインガーデンの中心部にある中央花壇はバラや多年草、一年草などを混植しています. ガーデンルームの窓のすぐ外にあり、さらにその向こうにはハーブの段々畑が見通せます. 今は春から咲いている花たちに加えて、ハーブも育ってきて、にぎやかになっています. さまざまな色の葉々が混在するのも美しくみえます.
