PISKY & JIZO： GUARDIAN DEITY OF OUR GARDEN (庭の守り神 ピスキーとお地蔵さん)
Today we open our garden to the public for charity. It's raining now at 5:00 AM, but I hope today is a good day.
The guardian deity of our garden, a pisky from Cornwall and a tiny Jizo from Kumano, will protect us from bad things such as heavy rain and accidents.

PISKY AND GREENMAN IN ST. IVES, CORNWALL (コーンウォールの妖精とグリーンマン)
We stayed for two nights at St. Ives, Cornwall. There were beautiful landscapes and nice shopping streets.
We visited the Leach Pottery and Tate St Ives (art museum), and walked along the seashore to the Island, where we could see an extraordinary scenic view.
After lunch at a restaurant beside Porthgwidden beach, we walked the streets for shopping.
I had read that Cornwall is a world of piskies. I wished to buy some piskies in St Ives.
Piskie also known as a Pixie in other west counties.The Piskie is a general name for a fairy race or tribe in Cornwall. In appearance they look like old men with wrinkled faces, and are small in stature with red hair. They dress in the colours of the earth especially green, using natural materials such as moss, grass and lichen....
On some street, I found a shop selling 'The Lucky Cornish Pisky'. The shopkeeper has been making pisky by himself. I bought a sitting pisky with crystal in its hands.
A Green Man is a sculpture, drawing, or other representation of a face surrounded by or made from leaves. Branches or vines may sprout from the nose, mouth, nostrils or other parts of the face and these shoots may bear flowers or fruit.
Commonly used as a decorative architectural ornament, Green Men are frequently found in carvings on both secular and ecclesiastical buildings.
I had been looking for sculptures on internet, but I could find no item for sale in Japan.
In another shop, I finally found a greenman, and bought it.
Now they are in our garden. The pisky sit on the brick of a bed of peony and Lycoris. The green man hangs on the pillar of the gazebo. We touch the pisky's hat, and he makes us happy. The green man protect us from the evils.
