HYDRANGEA AND FROG WAITING FOR RAIN (雨を待つアジサイとカエル)
Now we are in the rainy season,
and we expect rain in an hour.
Hydrangea bears large flower heads,
and they have a riot of color.
They look stunning in the rain, and, I suppose, they are waiting rain.
梅雨の季節で間もなく雨が降り出しそうです.
アジサイは大きな花をつけて
いろとりどりです.
雨が似合い、雨を待っているようです.
Beside a parking lot, blue and purple flowers are in bloom
in the same shrub.
駐車場の横には一つの株から
青と紫の花が咲いています.
At the upper entrance of the garden, just above the white fence,
blue, bluish purple and white flower are in bloom.
In the bluebell garden, hydrangea had grown from cuttings
and it bears a number of flowers this season.

Frogs are waiting rain, too.
I found a frog on the lily this morning.
カエルたちも雨を待っています.
今朝はユリの上にいました.

HERBS PLANTED IN A NEW BED (ハーブの新しい花壇)
Today was the first day of gardening this year.
We made a simple raised bed beside a stone wall behind the white wooden fence
for herb seedlings which we bought four days ago.
We used a corrugated plastic sheet for retaining soil,
and add compost and leaf mold in it.
Herb seedlings of fennel, common mallow and marsh mallow were planted
（with originally growing Farfugium japonicum).

今日は今年最初の庭仕事です.
白いフェンスの後ろの石垣の横に
年末に買ったハーブの苗を植えるための簡単なレイズドベッドを津ｒ繰りました.
プラスチックの波板を使って土留めとして
培養土と腐葉土を入れます.
フェンネル、コモンマロー、マーシュマロウの苗を植えました.
（もともと生えていたツワブキも一緒に）
