SHOPPING AT A NURSERY (ナーセリーでお買い物--カレンダーをゲット)

We went to the local nursery for shopping yesterday.
There was some Christmas decorations in the shop.

 昨日は近くのナーセリーに買い物に行きました.
クリスマスの飾りつけもありました.


We bought bulbs, seedlings and a terracotta pot,
and got a 2020 calendar as a free gift,
in which photos of our garden were printed.

 球根や苗、素焼きの鉢などを買って、
我が家の庭の写真が載っているカレンダーを景品にもらいました.


We planted bulbs in pots today.
Snowdrop bulbs were planted in a large pot in front of the brick wall.

And pink Scilla campanulata bulbs were planted in a small tin pot.

 
 そして、ピンクのシラー・カンパニュラータを小さなブリキの鉢に植えました.


A terracotta pot with handle was placed on the center brick pillar of the wall
as a focal point.

最後に、取っ手の付いた素焼きの鉢を
煉瓦塀の中央の柱の上にフォーカルポイントとして置きました.

SHOPPING AT THE LOCAL NURSERY AND THE SHOPPING MALL (ナーセリーとモールでのお買い物)

This afternoon, we went shopping at the local nursery.  

My ex-colleague has determined to be promoted professor, 

and I bought a orchid pot plant as a gift and send it. 

今日の夕方、近くの園芸店へ行きました

昔の同僚が教授に昇進することが決まったので

贈り物を贈るためです

We have no rain fall in the last fortnight, 

and very hot and humid days have been continuing with high temperature of 34 degrees. 

We saw many kinds of seedlings and young plants in the nursery,

however, we didn't buy anything, 

because work in the garden is too hard these days. 

もう2週間も雨は降らず、

毎日暑くて湿度の高い日が続いて、最高気温は34度

たくさん園芸店には苗や苗木がありますが、

今は庭仕事は過酷で、何も買いませんでした

After that, we went to the big shopping mall beside the harbour. 

We bought some clothes, 

and enjoyed a dinner at the Chinese restaurant. 

そのあと、港のそばの大きなショッピングモールにでかけて

服などを少し買い

中華料理店での夕食を楽しみました

GARDEN CENTRE IN COTSWOLDS (コッツウォルズのガーデンセンター)

This was the first time we visited a garden centre in UK. 

It is close to Morton in Marsh. 

Its drive way is so long from the gate, 

and there are a arboretum and a Falconry centre in this large site, too. 

始めてイギリスのガーデンセンターに行きました.

モートン・イン・マーシュの近くです.

入り口からの道は長く、

同じ敷地に樹木園や鷹狩りセンターもあります.

In front of the garden centre, there were beautiful border gardens. 

ガーデンセンターの前に、美しいボーダーガーデンがありました.

We bought seeds and many kinds of garden items

including bird feeder and miniature staddle stones. 

種のほか、鳥の餌台、ミニチュアの土台石を含め

いろいろな庭仕事の道具など買いました.
