ETHEL & ERNEST (エセルとアーネスト)
Typhoon Hagibis went to the eastern Japan, however, about 10 m/s wind was blowing all day in our area.
We went to KBC Cinema in Fukuoka City to watch the film 'Ethel and Ernest' in the morning (9 am). It cost 1,200 yen, cheaper than usual because it was early bird discount. I'd read the original book, and I really enjoy the film.
It was nostalgic, heart-warming, touching and a bit sad, and the film was made with so beautiful hand-written animation pictures.

10メートルほどの強い風がうちのあたりでも吹いています.
今朝は9時からの映画「エセルとアーネスト」をみに福岡のKBCシネマに行きました.
値段は通常より安い1200円、早朝割引です.
原作の本を読んでいましたが、大変楽しく見ました.
懐かしく、心温まり、感動的で、ちょっと悲しい映画でした.
そしてとても美しい手書きのアニメーション画像がとても綺麗でした.

CROOKED HOUSE (ねじれた家)
The movie 'Crooked House' was released yesterday in Japan.
Crooked House is a British mystery film based on Agatha Christie's 1949 novel of the same name.
We went to KBC Cinema in Fukuoka to watch the movie today.
I already finished to read the original novel last week,
and I was exited to watch it and compare the movie with the original story.
The movie was more exiting because of vision and sound.
There were several major differences of story, and I thought that the movie was made quite well. I recommend this movie.

映画「ねじれた家」が日本では昨日封切りでした.
ねじれた家はイギリスのミステリー映画で、
アガサクリスティーの1949年の同名の小説が原作です.
私たちは今日、福岡のKBCシネマに見に行きました.
先週原作の小説は読み終えていましたので、
原作と映画を見比べるのにわくわくしました.
映像と音楽で、映画のほうがよりドキドキでした.
ストーリーはいくつか大きな違いがありましたが、よく作られた映画でした.
おすすめの映画です.

HOME MADE TOSA-BUNTAN MARMALADE (自家製土佐文旦のマーマレード)
Tosa-Buntan is a kind of Citrus maxima,
which is mainly grown in Tosa area of Shikoku Island.
We planted a young plant in our garden in 2006,
and it bore fruits for the first time in last season.
We picked most of the fruits on new year's eve,
and stored them in a cool storage room.
Two months have passed since that,
and we made marmalade today.
It colour is light orange and tastes so good.

and we at last went to the local theatre in Fukuoka.
Dame Judi Dench is our favourate actress,
and the episode of this movie was so interesting.
We highly recommend this movie.

日本では1月25日に封切りされましたが、
やっと福岡の映画館に出かけました.
私たちはジュディ・デンチさんのファンで
この映画のエピソードはとても面白い話でした.
とってもお勧めの映画です.

It was touching, and we really enjoyed it.

WINSTON CHURCHILL FILM IN THE RAIN (雨の日、ウィンストン・チャーチルの映画)
It rained all day today and we could do no gardening.
So, we watched the movie 'Darkest Hour' at the cinema in Fukuoka.
The film stars Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill. It is the thrilling and inspiring true story of Churchill in May 1940 when he became a prime minister.
Gary Oldman looked absolutely different from himself,
but was transfigured into 'Winston Churchill'.
We understood the difficult situations of UK at that time,
and we were really moved.
今日は一日雨で、庭仕事はまったく無理、
そこで福岡の映画館で
「ウィンストン・チャーチル/ヒトラーから世界を救った男」
を見ました.
この映画はゲイリー・オールドマン主演で
チャーチルが首相に就任した1940年5月のスリリングで感動的な実話です.
オールドマンはまったく別人になって
ウィンストン・チャーチルに変身しています.
当時のイギリスの困難な状況がよく分かり、とても感動しました.

LIFE IS FRUITY (人生フルーツ)
Last weekend, I went to KBC Cinema in Fukuoka to see a documentary film.
My wife and many friends saw the film last month,
and they highly recommended it.
The title of the film is 'Jinsei Furutsu' in Japanese.
The English title is 'Life is fruity'.
The film shows daily life of a ninety-year-old husband
and his eighty-seven-year wife.
They organically grow seventy kinds of vegs and fifty kinds of fruit
in their kitchen garden.
I was really touched by the film.
先週末、福岡のKBCシネマにドキュメンタリー映画を見に行きました.
家内や友人たちは先月映画をみていて、しきりに薦めます.
題名は「人生フルーツ」
映画では90歳の夫と87歳の妻の日常が描かれます.
70種類の野菜、50種類のくだものを菜園で有機栽培で育てています.
とても感動でした.

A HOLIDAY WATCHING A MOVIE AND HAVING AFTERNOON TEA (映画とアフタヌーンティーの休日)
There was a heavy thunderstorm early this morning
and the garden was drenched.
We did gardening the whole day yesterday, and today

we went to the downtown of Fukuoka City and watched the movie 'A Royal Night Out'.
We really enjoyed the movie with excitement, danger and a bit of romance.
The actress Sarah Gadon played a role of Princess Elizabeth and she was really splendid.
Rupert Everett (King George VI) was also so good.
今朝未明、ひどい雷雨で、庭はびっしょり
既往は一日庭仕事でしたから、今日は福岡の繁華街に出かけて
映画「ロイヤル・ナイト」を鑑賞、
その興奮やスリル、そしてちょっとしたロマンスで楽しめました
主演女優でエリザベス王女を演じたサラ・ガドンはとても素晴らしく
ルパート・エヴェレット（ジョージ六世）もよかったですね

in Mitsukoshi Department Store, and we enjoyed afternoon tea.
