EARLY-BLOOMING SNOWDROPS (早咲きのスノードロップ)
Snowdrops have been in bloom since the end of the year. This variety blooms about two months earlier than the normal variety. They are very pretty winter flowers.
スノードロップが年末から咲きだしています。普通の品種よりも2か月ぐらい早く咲きだす品種です。とても可愛らしい冬の花です。

FLOWERS IN THE WHITE FLOWER BED (白の花壇の花たち)
In the garden of the Bluebell, I have planted a white flower bed with snowdrops and white muscari that bloom in spring, and now I have planted a white viola. We hope they will bloom until May, when we open the garden to the public.
The snowdrops are still blooming beautifully.
ブルーベルの庭に作った白い花を育てる花壇には、先日紹介したスノードロップや春に咲く白いムスカリを植えていますが、今度は白いビオラの苗を植え付けました. 庭を公開する五月まで咲いてくれていると思います.
スノードロップの花はまだ綺麗に咲いています.

SNOWDROPS IN THE COLD WIND (寒風の中のスノードロップ)
The early snowdrops have started to bloom at the end of the year. According to Scottish legend, those who see these flowers at the end of the year will have a good New Year, but I guess there were not many varieties that bloomed at the end of the year.
早咲きのスノードロップが年末から咲き始めています. スコットランドの言い伝えでは、年末にこの花を見た人は新年はよい年になると言われているそうですが、年末に咲く品種はあまりなかったのでしょうね。

SNOWDROP (スノードロップ)
Snowdrops are blooming again in the bluebell garden. The early variety bloomed last December, but this time it's the regular variety. They look so cute swaying in the breeze as the sun shines through the trees in winter.
ブルーベルの庭でスノードロップがまた咲いてきました。早い品種が昨年12月に咲きましたが、今度は普通の品種です。冬の木漏れ日を浴びながら、風に揺れる姿はとてもかわいいです。

SNOWDROPS IN DECEMBER (ビックリ、スノードロップ開花)
We made a raised bed for snowdrop and white muscari in the bluebell garden, and planted snowdrop bulbs in September. I once have heard a tradition of Scotland that the finder of a snowdrop before the first of January would be in luck all the coming year. Therefore, I delighted to find 'four' snowdrop flowers early in December.
九月にブルーベルの庭にスノードロップと白のムスカリのためのレイズドベッド（花壇）を作り、スノードロップの球根を植えました. スコットランドではお正月の前にスノードロップの花をみつけた人は、一年間ずっと幸運に恵まれるという言い伝えがあると聞いたことがあります。それで、十二月の早い時期に4つもスノードロップの花を見つけて、びっくりしてうれしくなりました.

GARDENING IN THE BLUEBELL GARDEN TODAY (ブルーベルの庭の今日の庭仕事)
Pittosporum tobira (Japanese Cheesewood) bears creamy white flowers with sweet smell in May. We had grown it for more than ten years in the bluebell garden. Three photographs below were shot three years ago.
トベラは甘い香りのある乳白色の花をつけます.
もう十年以上ブルーベルの庭で育てていました.

Two weeks ago, the powerful typhoon had come.
It was shaken very badly and it inclined.
It became quite unstable because one third of its base had been decayed.
So, I decided to fell the tree.
二週間前に強い台風が来てひどくゆすられて傾きました.
根本の１/3ぐらいが腐っていたのでひどくぐらつくようになりました.
それで、切り倒すことに・・
Beside it, I made a raised bed for snowdrop.
I planted a hundred bulbs today.
その隣にスノードロップ用のレイズドベッドを作りました.
そして今日、100個ほど球根を植えました.

LUCKY SNOWDROP IN CHRISTMAS (幸運のスノードロップ)
I found one flower of snowdrop in the border of plum.
