It will soon be Christmas and we have put up some small decorations in the garden room again this year. The main feature this year is a Fortnum Mason musical box given to me by a friend. It is in the shape of a small merry-go-round, spinning and playing Jingle Bells. It gets us in the Christmas spirit.
間もなくクリスマス、ガーデンルームに今年も小さな飾りつけをしました. 今年のメインは友人からもらったフォートナムメイソンのオルゴールです. 小さなメリーゴーランドの形で、回転しながらジングルベルを奏でます. クリスマス気分が盛り上がります.
I was very surprised to wake up this morning and hear the news that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has passed away. I had not expected her to pass away, as two days ago a picture of her smiling and shaking hands with the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Mrs Truss, was published. We pray for the Queen's soul.
今朝起きて、エリザベス二世が逝去されたと言うニュースを聞き、大変驚きました. 2日前にはイギリスのトラス新首相とにこやかに握手されている写真が公開されていたため、亡くなるとは思っていもいませんでした. 女王のご冥福をお祈り申し上げます.
