JASMINE AND BORAGE BY THE SMALL FOUNTAIN (小さな噴水のそばのジャスミンとボリジ)
Behind the small fountain, the Jasminum polyanthum continues to bloom. A very strong fragrance wafts around. The flowers and fragrance will be enjoyed for some time to come.
In front of the fountain, on both sides, the borage has grown large and has many flowers. The bumblebees love the borage and are constantly flitting from flower to flower.
Ladybirds also come here to feed.
小さな噴水の後ろにはハゴロモジャスミンが咲き続けています. とても強い芳香が周りに漂っています. もうしばらく花と香りが楽しめそうです.
噴水の手前には両側にボリジが大きく育って、たくさんの花を咲かせています. ハナバチたちはボリジも大好きで、ずっと花から花へ飛び交っています.
テントウムシもやってきて餌をさがしています.

FULL BLOOMED PALE PINK CAMELLIA (満開の淡いピンクの椿)
The pale pink camellia is in full bloom. There are many flowers on the ground and they will be finished in a couple of weeks.
So I cut the flowers and put them in a small fountain. I put another camellia, Christmas roses, pansies and violas in there too. It made the place look brighter.
Spring will now be rushing by.
淡いピンクの椿が満開を迎えています. 地面にはたくさんの花が散っていて、あと2週間ぐらいで終わりそうです.
そこで、花を切って小さな噴水に浮かべてみました. 一緒に別の椿やクリスマスローズ、パンジーやビオラも入れてみました. そしたらパッと明るくなりました.
春はこれから駆け足で通り過ぎて行きます.

THE FIRST FREEZING IN OUR GARDEN (庭で初氷)
Water in a little fountain, a bath tub pool and a bird bath in our garden froze this morning. This was the first freezing this season. It was partly sunny but very cold today.
小さな噴水、風呂桶の池、そしてバードバスでは今朝氷が張っていました. 今シーズンの初氷でした. ときどき晴れの天気でしたがとても寒い日でした.

ROSES AT THE BEGINNING OF JUNE (六月初めのバラたち)
May was over and we are now in June,
when a rainy season is just around the corner.
Flowering of most of roses has ended, however,

五月が終わり、今は六月
間もなく梅雨が始まります.
ほとんどのバラは終わりですが、
いまも少し咲いています.
We do love Rosa 'Pierre de Ronsard'.
It is one of the roses that we planted at the beginning of making our garden.
It got old and the number of flower decreased year after year.
However it bears beautiful flowers now.
How lovely they are!
ピエールドロンサールは大好きなバラ.

ACANTHUS MOLLIS (アカンサスモリス）
Acanthus mollis has ornamental leaves and flowers.
It grew flower spikes in April,
and it is in full bloom now.
Its flower has a unique shape and white and dark purple colours,
which make it so stunning.

ROSES AT THE WHITE FENCE (白いフェンスのバラ)
Roses at the white wooden fence are now in bloom a week later than other roses.
Rosa 'Mortimer Sackler' is trained on the rebar arch, and other yellow roses (The Pilgrim and Apollo) are trained to the fence.
Behind the fence, honey suckle is trained another rebar arch and it is in full bloom with a sweet smell.

モーティマーサックラーは鉄筋のアーチに誘引、
ほかの黄色いバラ（ザピルグリムとアポロ）はフェンスに誘引です.
