MORNING GLOW IN AUTUMN (秋の朝焼け)
The season of beautiful dawn skies is upon us. Autumn brings clear air, and clouds often take forms that are beautifully tinged by the morning sun. No two skies are ever the same; it's a once-in-a-lifetime encounter. Here is a video showcasing some of the dawn skies I have witnessed thus far.
朝焼けの美しい季節がやってきます。秋は空気が澄んで、雲も朝日で美しく染まる形が多くなるからでしょう。同じ空は二度となく、一期一会です。これまで見てきた朝焼けの一部を動画でご紹介します。

SLIGHT RAIN AFTER 17 DAYS (17日ぶりの微雨)
After the last rain 17 days ago, it has been hot and sunny for a long time, but for the first time in a long time, rain clouds arrived early in the morning and it rained, albeit very slightly. Cloudy and rainy days are expected to continue later this week. In some areas, the low rainfall is beginning to affect rice and vegetable production, so we hope for sufficient rainfall soon.
17日前の雨を最後に、ずっと暑くて晴れた日が続いていましたが、久しぶりに早朝に雨雲がやってきて、ごく僅かではありますが雨が降りました。今週後半からは曇りや雨の日が続くと予想されています。地域によっては少雨が米や野菜づくりに影響を及ぼし始めているので、早く十分な雨が降ってほしいです。

BEAUTIFUL SKY AND SEA WITHOUT PEOPLE (人のいない美しい空と海)
Our garden is located on a slope with a view of the beautiful sea and mountains of Itoshima. During the summer tourist season, many people come here for the beautiful sea. The small beach below used to attract a lot of bathers, especially on weekends, but in recent years only a few people come during the mid-summer heat wave. The sky and sea are beautiful when viewed from an air-conditioned room, but once outside it is extremely hot.
私たちの庭は美しい糸島の海や山が見える傾斜地にあります。夏の観光シーズンにはたくさんの人たちが美しい海を目当てにやってきます。下の小さいビーチにも、特に週末はたくさん海水浴の人がやってきていましたが、近年は真夏の猛暑の時期に来る人はわずかになっています。空調の効いた部屋から眺めるぶんにはとても美しい空と海ですが、いったん外に出るとものすごい暑さです。

THE RAINY SEASON HAS ENDED (梅雨が明けました)
The rainy season in northern Kyushu has ended. This is an unusually early end of the rainy season, which has never happened before. It was a beautiful morning and the temperature rose to hot. The rain cover on the white iron bench has been removed. A long summer of severe heat will continue from now on.
九州北部の梅雨が明けました。今までにない異例の早さの梅雨明けです。朝からいい天気で気温も上がり暑くなりました。白いアイアンベンチにかけていた雨除けのカバーを外しました。これから厳しい暑さの長い夏が続きます。

AUTUMN ROSES BLOOMING AT DAWN (夜明けに咲く秋バラ)
The sun rises completely late, it is dark for a while after waking up early, and it doesn't dawn easily. The eastern sky finally brightens up while we are eating breakfast, and sometimes we are treated to a wonderful sunrise. On this particular day, the eastern sky turned bright red for a moment. Then the morning sun shines into the garden. (You can watch the video below)
日の出の時刻がすっかり遅くなって、早起きしてもなかなか夜が明けません. 朝ご飯を食べているとやっと東の空が明るくなってきて、時々素晴らしい朝焼けを見せてくれます. この日も東の空が一瞬、真っ赤に染まりました. そして朝日が庭に射してきます. （下の動画でご覧いただけます）
The red sunlight makes the colour of the brick wall more reddish. A few white roses are blooming here. These were climbing roses, but the arch has been removed and they have been pruned short.
赤い日差しがレンガ塀の色をより赤く照らしだします. こちらには少しだけ白いバラたちが咲いています. ツルバラでしたが、アーチを撤去して短く剪定しています.
The roses on either side of the sleeper steps in the middle of the garden are in full flower. One rose in particular is Scarborough Fair. This rose is an excellent variety that always produces buds on newly growing branches, which change colour from deep pink when they first open to pale pink as they open. It is a very pretty rose and a favourite. The sun doesn't shine here right away, so the flowers stay fresh.
庭の中央にある枕木の階段の両脇のバラたちが沢山花を咲かせています. 特にたくさん咲いているのがスキャボロフェアです. このバラは新しく伸びた枝に必ず蕾をつける優れた品種で、開き始めの濃いピンク色から、開いていくにつれて淡いピンクに色を変えていきます. とても可愛らしいバラで、お気に入りです. ここにはすぐには日は射さず、花々は瑞々しさを保ちます.
