ROSES IN JULY (七月のバラ)

It's been a hot day. At the sleeper steps in the middle of the garden, the roses continue to bloom, little by little. 

暑い日が続いています. 庭の中央にある階段では、少しずつですがバラが咲き続けています. 

Angela on the arch has new branches growing long on both sides with flowers on the tips. 

アーチの上のアンジェラは新しい枝々を左右に長く伸ばして、その先端に花をつけています. 

Here are some of the main roses. 

主なバラをご紹介します.

And finally, the Baby Sun Rose. It's called 'rose', but of course it's not a rose!

But it loves the sun, it loves the heat, and it keeps blooming with bright pink flowers!

It is a tough plant, with thick leaves like a succulent, and is resistant to drying out.

It loses a bit of its vigor in winter, but in our area it survives the winter without dying.

そしｔ最後がベビーサンローズです

ローズと名前がついていますが、もちろんバラではありません

でも、太陽が大好きで暑さも大好き、鮮やかなピンクの花を咲かせ続けます

多肉植物のような分厚い葉を持ち、乾燥にも強いという、タフな植物です

冬は少し元気がなくなりますが、当地では枯れずに冬越しします

PLANTS ON SLEEPER STEPS (枕木階段の植物)

Roses are over around the sleeper steps,
and tiny flowers are in bloom on the steps.
They are baby sun rose and sedum. 

Baby sun rose bears pink flower, while sedum bears yellow one.

バラは枕木の階段の周囲では終わっていて、
階段に小さな花々が咲いています.
ハナツルソウとマンネングサで、
ハナツルソウはピンクの花、マンネングサは黄色い花をつけています

RED BABY SUN ROSE ON THE SLEEPER STEPS (枕木階段の赤いハナツルソウ)

Baby sun rose or Aptenia cordifolia is a mat-forming evergreen perennial succulent.
The leaves are bright green, and it bears red flowers. 

I found it in a coast and grew it by cutting.
Now it grows between sleepers of the steps with sedum.

ハナツルソウはマット状に育つ常緑の多年生多肉植物です.
葉は明るい緑色で赤い花をつけます.
海岸で見つけて差し穂で育てました.
枕木の階段で枕木の間にセダムと一緒に育っています.
