Tsurubo (barnardia japoica) is a bulbous plant that blooms with pink flowers, heralding the arrival of autumn. The buds are shaped like horsetails, but small, vibrant pink flowers burst open from the lower part of the inflorescence. As the number of bulbs has increased, I am now growing them in three separate pots, and it is fascinating to see how their flowering times differ slightly.
ツルボは球根性の植物で、秋の到来を告げるピンクの花を咲かせます。つぼみはつくしんぼうのような形ですが、ピンクのぱっとはじけるような小花を花穂の下の方から咲かせてきます。球根が増えたので、今は3つの鉢に分けて育てていますが、少しずつ開花の時期が違うのが不思議です。
