SHADE GARDEN IN EARLY AUTUMN (初秋のシェードガーデン)

 

The shade garden in the shade of the garden room is mainly made up of semi-shade and shade-loving plants. The mainstays are acanthus mollis, hositas and Solomon's seal.

The acanthus has woken up from its summer dormancy and is beginning to put out new leaves. It grows large leaves from winter to spring, flowers in early summer and then goes dormant again.

ガーデンルームの陰にあるシェードガーデンは半日陰や日陰を好む植物を主に育てています. その主役はアカンサスモリスとギボウシ、そしてアマドコロです. 

アカンサスは夏の休眠から覚めて、新しい葉を茂らせ始めています. 冬から春まで葉を大きく伸ばして初夏に花をつけたあとまた休眠に入ります.

WHITE OXALIS (白いオキザリス)

 

The white oxalis (Oxalis purpurea 'Alba' ) is a rare winter flower. The flowers open when the sun is shining, but not when it is cloudy. Of course, the flowers close at night. It is a valuable plant to brighten up the garden during the winter months, when greenery and flowers are scarce. It is very fertile and needs a little care not to spread too much. 

白いオキザリスは冬に咲く貴重な花です. 日が照ると花が開きますが、曇っている日は花は開きません. もちろん夜は花は閉じます. 緑や花が乏しい冬の間、庭を少し明るくしてくれる貴重な植物です. 繁殖力も旺盛で、広がりすぎないように少し注意が必要です.
