In Japan, the hydrangea blooms in June. It is a symbolic flower in the rainy season. There are so many hydrangea plants in my neighbourhood including our garden, and they are now in full bloom.
(日本ではアジサイは6月に咲きます。梅雨の時期のシンボリックな花です。うちの庭を含めてご近所にはたくさんのアジサイの木があり、今満開となっています。)
H. macrophylla var. macrophylla (アジサイ)
H. macrophylla f.normalis (ガクアジサイ)
Hydrangea quercifolia (カシワバアジサイ)
Every morning we take a walk regardless of the weather. It's also a fun to walk in the rain.
(毎朝、お天気にかかわらず散歩をしています。雨の中を歩くのも楽しいものです。)

Dear Poirot
ReplyDeleteOver the last few years, I have been collecting hydrangeas for my garden, which are all in pots, except for Hydrangea Arborescens Annabelle. My most recent purchases were a red flowered one, Hydrangea 'Merveille Sanguine' and Hydrangea 'Miss Saori', a double pink. You have some beautiful varieties in this post, with some lovely photos.
Have a happy gardening weekend
Best wishes
Ellie
Dear Ellie.
ReplyDeleteYou really love Hydrangea, don't you?
Hydrangea is very popular in Japan, and we can find it in most of private and public gardens.
Beautiful Hydrangeas! We have a few in our garden but they are still quite young so not as lovely and big and full of flower like yours. Thank you for sharing them :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Dee.
