The start of the rainy season was announced for the Kyushu region the day before yesterday. Much rain has fallen and vulnerable herbaceous plants with long thin stalks has fallen or broken here and there. It's time to cut short such plants.
Two plants that suit the rain have become in bloom now. They are both blue flowers.
The first is sweet flag in the small pool.
Another one is hydrangea at the entrance.
Raindrop ripples on the small garden fountain tell us that the rainy season has come.

Thank goodness we do not get a rainy season, although some years it can feel like we do. So sad that it breaks your plants but nice that it waters the garden for you.
ReplyDeleteLove your blue flag and Hydrangra.
Thanks to much rain, we have a beautiful forest in Japan.
DeleteHowever, sometimes too much rain jeopardise plants in our garden.
We have to take the good with the bad:-)
