Parts of the episode of 'Dead Man's Folly' (Agatha Christie's Poirot, season 13, episode 3, 2013) were filmed on location at Greenway House, the boathouse of which was the inspiration for the novel. It was the last episode filmed featuring David Suchet.
We got aboard the twin decked passenger ferry Christie Belle departing from Dartmouth for a beautiful serene river cruise to Greenway.

We walked a upslope to the Greenway House in the forest. At the moment the house was being re-painted and having some conservation repairs done, so there is scaffolding around the outside of the house.

I'm ashamed to say I have never been to Greenway House but I think you might have inspired me!
ReplyDeleteI love that area of Devon. It sounds as though you had a very interesting visit.
