POIROT VISITED HIS CREATOR'S SECOND HOME I

Next day, we visited Greenway sited on a promontory above the River Dart.  Agatha Christie bought the Greenway House for £6,000 in 1938 and the house became the family holiday home.  She descrived the house as "the loveliest place in the world."

Parts of the episode of 'Dead Man's Folly' (Agatha Christie's Poirot, season 13, episode 3, 2013) were filmed on location at Greenway House, the boathouse of which was the inspiration for the novel.  It was the last episode filmed featuring David Suchet.

We got aboard the twin decked passenger ferry Christie Belle departing from Dartmouth for a beautiful serene river cruise to Greenway.

We walked a upslope to the Greenway House in the forest.  At the moment the house was being re-painted and having some conservation repairs done, so there is scaffolding around the outside of the house.
