RED AMARYLLIS (赤いアマリリス)

My friend sends a bulb of amaryllis every winter for several years,
and we received it at the beginning of February this year.
The name of the variety is 'Red Lion'.
It grows at a rate up to 3cm a day,
and is in full bloom now.
How red it is!

友人がここ数年、毎年冬にアマリリスの球根を送ってくれます.
今年も2月の初めに受け取りました.
品種の名前は「レッドライオン」
最大一日3センチほど成長して、
今、満開です.
本当に真っ赤です！

FLOWER BUDS OF ECHIUM CANDICANS (エキウムカンディカンスの花のつぼみ)

Echium candicans in the blue flower border shows many small flower buds. 

Other plant of that also bears flower buds in other place. 

They will bloom in April for the first time in two years. 

We are planning to open our gardens in April

as a member of Reiwa-Open-Gardem scheme, 

and the echium flower will be one of main shows. 

ブルーのボーダー花壇ではエキウム・カンディカンスがつぼみを見せています.

別の場所のエキウムもまたつぼみをつけています.

2年ぶりに四月に咲きそうです.

四月には令和オープンガーデンのメンバーとしてオープンガーデンを予定していて

その時の主役のひとつになりそうです.

REFURBISHING PENTAGONAL RAISED BEDS (五角形のレイズドベッド作りなおし)

We replaced frames of the pentagonal raised beds in the potager.
This is the last replacement planned this winter season.
Other two high raised beds, in which vegs and flowers are growing, will be replaced next season. 

ポタジェの五角形のレイズドベッドの枠の取替えをしました.
この冬の最後の取替えで、
野菜と花が育っているあとの二つの高いレイズドベッドの枠は
来年交換の予定です.

BLUEBELL GARDEN (ブルーベルの庭)

Bluebell is growing much earlier than usual
because of this warmer winter.
Hellebore is now in full bloom,
and many small seedlings are growing here and there. 

ブルーベルが暖冬のせいで
例年より早く成長してきています
クリスマスローズは満開で
たくさんの小さな実生苗があちこちで育っています

THREE PLANETS AND THE MOON ALIGNED THIS MORNING (月と三つの惑星が今朝行列)

The sky was clear this morning,
and we watched aligned three planets and moon
in the south east sky.
Three planets include Mars, Jupiter and Saturn.
This show ended with the sunrise.

Just after 7 o'clock
七時過ぎ

今朝は快晴で
南東の空に三つの惑星と月が並ぶのを見ることができました.
惑星は、火星、木星、そして土星です.
日の出とともにショーは終わりました.

FLOWERS AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE GARDEN (庭の入口の花)

At the upper entrance of our main garden,
two varieties of Hardenbergia are in bloom; white and purple.
Light pink camellia is still flowering beside them. 

メインガーデンの上の入口に二種類のハーデンベルギアを植えています。

白とピンクです。

その横にはピンクのツバキが咲いています。

We planted snowflake bulbs which we dug up at the lower entrance of our garden  in a pot last autumn.  One of the bulb bears flowers because of warm weather. 

去年の秋、庭の下の入口のところから掘り出したスノーフレークの球根たちを鉢に植えました。そのうちの一つが花をつけています。暖かいからでしょう。

Pink Helleborus is also flowering there. 

ここにはピンクのクリスマスローズも今咲いています。

Narcissus is in full bloom, too.

スイセンも満開です
