Last year, we planted blue mistflower (Conoclinium coelestinum) .
Our gardening friend gave us young plants and we planted in the border.
It bore beautiful light purple flowers in September.
However, most of them died because of fungus disease (Sclerotium rolfsii)
and we were obliged to discard the plants and infected soil.
There was so much rain at that time.
We missed it.
Flowers in September 2015 |
Last week we found the same plants at the boundary of our land
where we discarded infected plants last year.
Some are flowering and some are just small plants.
We were very pleased to find them survived,
and we planted them in a pot yesterday morning.
We'll raise them more carefully this time.
