We have been growing Rosa 'Tiffany' in a pot for several years.
It was a hard wood cutting of the rose in the kitchen garden, and it is one of the roses
which we grow for the first time more than ten years ago.
Euphorbia, which was planted with Tiffany, withered and died a couple of weeks ago,
and we thought that it was because the weather had been too hot and dry.
Today Marple pulled out the Euphorbia, and found worms in the soil.
They were larvae of so- called 'root cutter '; a kind of scarab.
We checked roots of Tiffany and it lost all roots.
Poor thing!
