JAPANESE ANEMONE (シュウメイギク)

About ten years ago my wife's friend gave us Japanese anemone,
and we planted at the border in front of the plum tree.
My wife went to the nursing home where my mother lived every day,
and took care of eating.
She met a women who came the nursing home every day,
and they become friend.
My mother died several years later.
The women grew a lot of Japanese anemone in her garden,
and she gave some to my wife.
My wife says these beautiful flowers reminds her the days
when they often met at the nursing home.
And I miss my mother, hearing this story.

  1. Anemone are such beautiful flowers, we have some in the garden too. It is a lovely reminder of your wife's friendship although tinged with sadness for you.

    1. Thank you for your comment, Dee.
Flowers are often connected with memories, I think.
