Just outside of the kitchen garden,
glory bush (Tibouchina urvilleana) is in bloom now.
We transplanted it from the central bed of the main garden several years ago.
It generally flowers in mid-autumn, however,
our glory bush used to flower in late autumn to winter.
Two years ago, a strong cold wave hit our area,
the strongest in fifty years,
and it looked to die.
But in spring, it came to life again,
and it bore flowers last spring, and it flowers again now.
At last it bears flowers in the right season.
