WINTER VEG IN THE POTAGER (ポタジェの冬野菜) ★羽生君金メダル動画つき

It was sunny today, and was a busy day of gardening. 

My wife and I pruned and trained climbing roses, 

and gave the roses compost and organic fertilizer.  

今日は晴れて、庭仕事で忙しい一日でした.

二人でツルバラの剪定・誘引のあと、

堆肥や有機肥料をやりました. 

In the potager, 

broccoli (a popular variety 'Stick Señor') has been producing harvest in raised beds, and spinach is growing in a pentagonal frame. 

ポタジェではブロッコリー（スティックセニョール）の収穫が続き、

五角形のフレームの中ではホウレンソウが育っています.

We watched the live TV programme of men's single figure skating of Pyeongchang Winter Olympic after lunch, and we were so exited because Yuzuru Hanyu won the gold medal (the first man since 1952 to defend a Winter Olympics single figure skating gold medal), and Shoma Uno won the silver medal.  

This is the first time for Japan to win two medals of figure skating in history. 

昼食後、オリンピックの男子のフィギュアスケートのテレビ生放送を見ました. 

羽生結弦が金メダル（６６年ぶりの五輪連覇を達成）、

宇野昌磨が銀メダルを獲得し、とても興奮しました. 

フィギュアスケートでメダル2つ獲得は日本は初めてのことです.
