At last the rainy season is over and the real summer season has come. The end of the rainy season was announced for the north Kyushu region by the Meteorological Agency today. Duration of 58 days is much longer than usual.
(やっと梅雨が終わって本格的な夏がやってきました。今日、気象庁から北部九州の梅雨明けが発表されました。58日間は平年よりだいぶ長い梅雨でした。)
In summer we have to water the garden twice a day, in the morning and evening. Mostly my wife Marple do it. Because the sunshine is so hot this season, she waters before the sun shines on the garden, and after the sun sets from the garden. It takes 30 to 60 minutes, she says. It's a hard work in hot summer.
（夏は庭の水やりが日に二回、朝と夕にしています。ほとんどは家内がやっています。夏は日が当たると暑いので、庭に日が差してくる前と庭から日が沈んだあとに水をやっています。30分から1時間ぐらいかかるそうです。暑い夏はつらい仕事です。）
White roses are in bloom on and beside the arbour.

In the potager, asparagus is growing in the beds.

And the wild flowers are also in bloom in the beds.

It will be also very hot today.
