We visited gardens of Tokachi Hills on a hot sunny day.
There were several characteristic gardens,
and we were especially interested in two gardens;
'Vis Potager' and Rose Garden.
I post photographs of the potager today.

This is the front gate leading to the double border.
Colours of lemon lime and lavender was so beautiful.
ここが正面のゲートでダブルボーダーに続きます
レモンライムとラベンダー色がとてもきれいです
At the side of the gate, there grew light blue eryngium.
They grow very well, though they often die in summer in my garden.
ゲートの横に水色のエリンギウムが咲いています
私の庭では夏は枯れてしまいますが、ここでは元気です
We entered the garden through this Hills Shop & Cafe.
このショップとカフェを通ってガーデンに入園します
There was Viz Potager in front of the Shop and Cafe.
The potager was designed mainly as a 8 direction of radial arrangement with a central circular bed.
Many raised beds were arranged differently in each long trapezoid plot.
Vegetables, flowers and herbs were planted ornamentally together,
and this is the potager!

それぞれの長い台形の区画のレイズドベッドの配置はそれぞれ違っています

野菜と草花、そしてハーブが一緒にオーナメンタルに植えられ、
まさしくこれがポタジェです！

And another important factor of the potager is fruits.
There was espalier apple at the continuing arches.
I asked a gardener working in the potager
how they intended to train apple trees,
and she said that they were making a tunnel of apple trees.

そしてポタジェのもう一つの大事な要素、果樹です
連続するアーチのところにリンゴのエスパリエ（垣根仕立て）があり
ポタジェで働いている方にどんな風に誘引するのか尋ねると
リンゴの木のトンネルにするつもりとのことでした
