LEOPARD PLANT YELLOW FLOWERS (ツワブキの黄色い花)

Leopard plant (Farfugium japonicum) is a native plant
and it grows here and there in our garden.
It is an evergreen perennial and bears daisy-like yellow flowers in November. 

ツワブキは自生の植物で、庭のあちこちにあります.
常緑の多年草で11月にデイジーのような形の黄色い花をつけます.

With red coleus 赤いコリウスと

With reddish purple flowers of toad lily ホトトギスの赤紫の花と

With purple flowers of duranta デュランタの紫の花と

With white Japanese anemone & red Pelargonium
白のシュウメイギク、赤いゼラニウムと

With Chlorophytum comosum オリズルランと

With Alocasia odora (giant upright elephant ear)

FLOWERS IN THE BACKLIGHT (逆光の中の花々)

 Sunrise became much later in November.
I walk down to the garden every morning,
and the sun rises when I am walking in the garden.
Flowers are lit up and look so stunning in the backlight of the sun.

日の出が十一月、ずいぶん遅くなってきました.
毎朝庭に降りていきますが、
庭を歩いていると太陽が昇ってきます.
花々は照らされて、逆光の中でとても素晴らしく見えます.

BLUEBELL GARDEN IN NOVEMBER (11月のブルーベルの庭)

The welded wire fabric arbour was built at the top of the bluebell garden in 2016.
And at last ivy have grown up to the roof this season.
It's roof will be covered in another year.

This morning

溶接金網でブルーベルの庭の一番上にアーバーを作ったのは2016年でした.

そして今年、アイビーが屋根の高さまで伸びました.

屋根の上を覆うのにはもう一年かかりそうです.

Glove artichoke grows again beside the arbour seat. 

It's stems and leaves died in summer.

アーバーシートの横にはアーティチョークが再び育ってきました.

葉や茎は夏に枯れていました.

Karin (Chinese Quince) bore a number of pink flowers in spring, 

and many fruits are now ripening. 

They are soaked in honey for medication of throat in winter. 

春にたくさんのピンクの花をつけたカリンの木では、

たくさんの実が熟してきています.

冬の喉のお薬としてはちみつ漬けにされます.

Toad lily is in full bloom now. 

ホトトギスは今満開です.

There is no plants in the plot for bluebell, and covered with compost. 

Its leaves emerge from the earth in late February. 

ブルーベルの区画には何も今は生えておらず、たい肥で覆っています.
地中から葉っぱが伸びてくるのは二月の末です.

REFURBISHING RAISED BEDS IN THE POTAGER (ポタジェのレイズドベッド作り変え)

Some of raised bed panels in the potager have rotted and broken.
I made them seven years ago.
So, I refurbished two triangle and one square raised beds this time.

Early Spring in 2013

ポタジェのレイズドベッドの一部が腐って壊れてしまいました.
七年前につくったものです.
それで三角形２つと正方形一つを今回作り直しました.


Plywood panel was cut and painted blue-gray.
Then, panels were connected by using aluminum angles, stainless bolts and nuts.

 コンパネを切ってブルーグレーのペンキを塗り、
アルミのアングルとステンレスのボルトナットを使って組み立てました.


Old panels were removed and new ones were set.

Lower half of panels rotted and broken

 古い板をはずして新しいのを設置しました.


They look neat and beautiful:)

すっきり、綺麗になりました！

NOVEMBER HAS COME (11月を迎えて)

November, or 'frost month' in traditional Japanes,
has started with a beautiful morning glow.
The stained glass of the gazebo showed wonderful colours.
Some roses in the main garden are still in bloom with Mexican bush sage and white lantana, and they look stunning in the morning sun. 

霜月が美しい朝焼けで始まりました.
ガゼボのステントグラスの色がとても綺麗です.
アメジストセージや白いランタナと一緒にバラもまだ咲いていて、
朝日の中で素晴らしく輝いています.
