SUNSHADE NET FOR PLANTS THAT LOVE SHADE (日陰を好む植物に日よけ)

We grow Saxifraga stolonifera just behind the lower entrance gate. 

This is a kind of heuchera, and is native in Japan.
It loves shade.

庭の下のゲートのすぐ後ろにユキノシタを育てています.
ヒューケラの一種で日本の原産です.
日陰を好みます.

There was once a tree that spread shade on it. 

I cut it because it was too prickly and dangerous. 

Instead of that tree, 

I planted Alocasia odora which has large leaves up to 100cm long and 60cm wide. 

However, those leaves are not enough to cover Saxifraga, 

and its leaves have started to be scorched these days. 

Two varieties of hosta are also grown beside Saxifraga and hosta loves shade, too. 

So, I made a sunshade for those plants today. 

Bamboo was used to make a frame and sunshade net was covered on it. 

This will help them to grow better.

ここには木が生えていて日陰を作っていましたが
トゲだらけの木で危険なため切りました.
その代わりとして
葉が最大縦１メートル、横60センチほどになるクワズイモを植えました.
しかしながら、十分に日陰を作ることができず、
葉が近ごろ焼けてきています.
日陰が好きなギボウシもその横に２種類植えています.
そこで、これら日陰の好きな植物のために今日、日よけを作りました.
竹を使って枠をつくり、日よけのネットをかぶせました.
これですくすく育ってくれるでしょう.
