Petit English Garden of MARPLE & POIROT

My wife and I started gardening in Fukuoka (Japan) in 2003. There was nothing but muddy clayey sloping land. At the beginning we made several structure such as steps and paths, and planted turf, fruit trees, roses, herbs etc. In 2010, we visited several famous English gardens, including Sissinghurst Castle Garden, Mottisfont Abbey Garden and Hidcote Manor Garden. We were shocked by the glory of those gardens. Since then, we have been trying to make small but glorious gardens by ourselves.

庭の紹介

　夫婦で庭づくりを福岡の郊外で2003年に始めました.　赤土むきだしの斜面にまず階段や園路をつくって芝をはり、果樹やバラ、ハーブなどを植えました.

　2010年にイギリスの有名なガーデンの、シシングハースト、モティスフォントアビー、ヒドコートマナーなどを回り、その素晴らしさに圧倒され、それから自分たちで小さくても素晴らしい庭をめざして庭づくりをつづけています.

JUNE FLOWERS IN THE BLUE BORDER (青の花壇の六月の花たち)

The blue border flower bed is located on both sides of the arbour seat. We mainly grow blue and purple flowers. We aim to have flowers in bloom all year round as much as possible.

In early spring (February), Hardenbergia bloom on the fence behind. In April, the catmint starts to flower, in May the Salvia guaranitica and geraniium (Azure Rush, potted) start to flower. In June, Jacaranda (dwarf variety), Buddleia (dwarf variety) and Agapanthus bloom. In July, the chaste tree follows. The buddleia and the chaste tree continue to flower all the way through to autumn.

June is the busiest month, when around six different flowers bloom together.

青のボーダー花壇はアーバーシートの両側にあります。青や紫などの花を主に育てています。できるだけ一年中花が咲いていることを目標にしています。

早春（二月）には背後のフェンスにハーデンベルギアが咲きます。四月にはキャットミントが咲き始め、五月にはサルビアガラニチカやゲラニウム（アズールラッシュ、鉢植え）が咲き始めます。そして六月にはジャカランダ（矮性品種）、ブッドレア（矮性品種）、そしてアガパンサスが咲きます。七月にはセイヨウニンジンボクが続きます。ブッドレアとセイヨウニンジンボクは秋までずっと咲き続けます。

六月は六種類ぐらいの花が一緒に咲く、最も賑やかな季節です。
