The blue-coloured flower bee (Thyreus decorus) has been seen in gardens from time to time in the past, but this year it came again on catmint flowers. It is difficult to get a good look at them as they move very quickly and rarely stay still on the flower, but they have a beautiful blue pattern on a black background. It does not seem to be very interested in flowers other than catmint.
They are endangered and I would love to see more of the happy blue bee.
青い色の花蜂（学名、Thyreus decorus）は以前から時々庭で見かけていましたが、今年もキャットミントの花にやってきました。とても動きが素早く、ほとんどじっと花に止まっていることがないので、その姿をよく見ることは難しいのですが、黒地に綺麗な青の模様があります。キャットミント以外の花にはあまり興味がないようです。
絶滅が危惧されているそうで、幸せを運ぶ青い蜂には是非増えてほしいです。
