A silverleaf shrub with reddish-purple flowers is joining the garden.
It is an evergreen shrub called leucophyllum, native to the arid regions from the southern United States to around Mexico. It is a heat-tolerant and slightly cold-tolerant plant that looks fine planted in the ground in the garden in Kyushu. It is said to produce many flowers several times a year and is just now beginning to flower.
