Last year, we visited the English Rose Garden in Osaka, Japan.
I found the Rosa 'Mortimer Sackler' trained to the arch. Because this rose flowers very well at every height without zigzag training to the arch and has very few thorns, I fancy it.

The Plants Center
David J.C. Austin came and gave a short lecture about rose at the plants center. Later I and my wife talk to him and take a picture with him.
We were pleased, because we couldn't see him when we visited David Austin Rose Gardens at Albrighton 2010 and 2012.

I appreciate very much your sense of humour. Marple and Poirot, I love both. I enjoyed pictures of your garden and others. I cannot wait to start digging and planting in my backyard, but in Québec, Canada, it is too early yet. This winter I was happy growing indoor some grass for my kitty; little achievement and big success :) I will come and visit your page again. Take care in these hard times.
