Three years ago, we planted 10 apple trees; five each of 'Fuji(富士)' and 'Alpine maiden(アルプス乙女)'. The trees have been trained as espalier-style.
This year, 'Fuji' trees have born four apples for the first time, and more than twenty apples of 'Alpine maiden' were born. They are both good eaters.
Fuji apples are still green, but Alpine maiden apples are getting red.

Apple 'Fuji' grows to the regular size (8 -10 cm in diameter) |
|
Apple 'Alpine maiden' is small but it tastes good. |
|
They are really red. |

Your apples are looking lovely. We were very bad this year and have let our apple trees grow away , so they will need pruning back ready for a good crop next year.

We are pleased to have many apples this year, because it is the first time to have them.
