Fern palm (Cycas revoluta, or Sotetsu in Japanese) is growing its new leaves
beside the parking lot of our house.
My wife cut old leaves about two weeks ago.
Taking a closer look of them, a tip of each leaflet is curled・・・

我が家の駐車場の横で
ソテツの若葉が成長してきています.
2週間前に家内が古い葉を切っていました.
よ～く見てみると、それぞれの葉の先端がカールしています・・・
Those spiral curls reminded me spit curls, which Ms. Lemon
in the TV drama series of 'Agatha Christie's Poirot' sported:)

これらの渦巻きを見ると、テレビドラマシリーズの「名探偵ポワロ」で
ミス・レモンが額の生え際につけていた渦巻きカールを思い出しました（笑）
