It's rain today, and we picked four flower buds of globe artichoke.
Three of them were from an older plant,
and the other was from different-variety plants
which we have grown since last autumn.
Shape of flower buds is different;
the former was short ovoid and the latter was a bit longer.
This time we steamed them and compared flavor of two varieties.
The newcomer seemed to be tasted a bit sweeter, I thought.

There are several flower buds left and we can enjoy for some time.

今日は雨でアーティチョークを4個収穫しました.
そのうち3個は前からの株、もう1個は昨年秋に植えた別の品種です.
蕾の形が違い、前者は短い卵型、後者は面長です.
今回は蒸して味較べしました.
新入りのほうが少し甘い感じがしました.
まだ何個か残っているので、しばらく楽しめそうです.
