MAKING AN IRON ARBOUR (鉄筋でアーチづくり)

 

We removed half of the white-rose ('Snow Goose' and 'Iceberg') arbour because it was in the way when we built the garden room. 

ガーデンルームを建てるときに邪魔になったので白バラ（スノーグースとアイスバーグ）のドーム型アーチは半分撤去しました.

Now that the garden room is complete, I have re-made the arbour.

ガーデンルームが完成したので、アーチを作り直しました. 

January 2021

I used rebar and aluminum wire to make an arch. Last time we made a rectangular shape at the bottom and a round dome at the top (I called it an arbour), but this time I made a cuboid shape.

I inserted two rebars at each of the four corners, bundle them together, and connect the tops of the diagonals with long rebars. In addition, rebars were connected to the long sides to reinforce them. Aluminum wire was used to fix the rebar to each other.  Rusty rebar blends in with the plant.

鉄筋とアルミ線を使ってアーチを作ります。前回は下は長方形で上は丸いドーム型としましたが、今回は直方体の形にしました。

四隅に2本ずつ鉄筋を挿して束ね、対角線の上端を長い鉄筋で連結します。さらに、長辺に鉄筋を連結して補強しました。鉄筋同士を固定するのにアルミ製の針金を使用しました。錆びた鉄筋は植物の中に溶け込みます.

I'm looking forward to the climbing roses growing again and covering the arbour. 

つるバラがまた伸びて、アーチを覆うのが楽しみです.
