PRUNING AND TRAINING ROSES (バラの剪定と誘引)

 

February is the season for pruning and training roses. 

Last weekend the weather was nice and mild, so we pruned the shrub roses and pruned & trimmed the climbing roses in the main garden.  

Roses are at their peak in mid-May.

2月はバラの剪定と誘引の季節です.

先週末は天気が良くて穏やかだったので、木立性バラの剪定、つるバラの剪定・誘引を行いました.

バラの最盛期は五月中旬です.

Rosa 'Mortimer Sackler', 'Apollo' and 'The Pilgrim' were trained to the wooden white fence.  

モーティマーサックラー、アポロ、そしてザ・ピルグリムを白いフェンスに誘引しています.

Rosa 'Summer Snow' is trained to the house wall. 

サマースノーは家の壁に誘引です.

Pierre de Ronsard is trained on the iron arch at the top of the sleeper steps. 

ピエールドゥロンサールは枕木の階段の一番上にある鉄製アーチに誘引です.

Shrub roses 'Mary Rose', 'Scarborough Fair', 'Leonardo da Vinci', 'Sky Lark', 'Nahema' and 'Comtesse de Segur’ on either side of the sleeper steps were pruned. 

枕木の階段の両側ではメアリーローズ、スキャボロフェア、レオナルドダヴィンチ、スカイラーク、ナエマ、コンテスドゥセギュールの剪定です.

Rosa 'Angela' was pruned and trained on the iron arch at the bottom of the sleeper steps.  

枕木の階段の一番下の鉄製のアーチにはバラのアンジェラを誘引しています.

Climbing roses 'Constance Spry', 'Gertrude Jekyll', 'Teasing Georgia', 'Pat Austin' and 'Crown Princess Margareta' were trained on the brick wall.  

レンガ塀にはコンスタンススプライ、ガートルードジェキル、ティージングジョージア、パットオースチン、そしてクラウンプルンセスマルガリータを誘引です.
