The last garden job of the year was to clean the small pool created using the bathtub for my mother.
I have pink and white water lilies growing in this pool. I grow white killifish in it to eat the mosquito larvae. I clean this pond every winter.
First the killifish are captured and sheltered in a large ceramic bowl.
Then I drain the water and clean it of algae, dead and fallen leaves.
And finally a fresh coat of paint.
今年最後の庭仕事は、バスタブで作った小さな池の掃除でした.
この池にはピンクと白の睡蓮を育てています. 蚊の幼虫を食べてもらうために白いメダカを一緒に育てています. 冬に毎年この池の掃除をしています.
まず最初はメダカを捕獲して大きな陶器に避難させておきます.
そのあとに水を抜いて、藻や枯れた葉、落ち葉などを掃除します.
そして最後にペンキの塗り直しをしました.
