Petit English Garden of MARPLE & POIROT

My wife and I started gardening in Fukuoka (Japan) in 2003. There was nothing but muddy clayey sloping land. At the beginning we made several structure such as steps and paths, and planted turf, fruit trees, roses, herbs etc. In 2010, we visited several famous English gardens, including Sissinghurst Castle Garden, Mottisfont Abbey Garden and Hidcote Manor Garden. We were shocked by the glory of those gardens. Since then, we have been trying to make small but glorious gardens by ourselves.

庭の紹介

　夫婦で庭づくりを福岡の郊外で2003年に始めました.　赤土むきだしの斜面にまず階段や園路をつくって芝をはり、果樹やバラ、ハーブなどを植えました.

　2010年にイギリスの有名なガーデンの、シシングハースト、モティスフォントアビー、ヒドコートマナーなどを回り、その素晴らしさに圧倒され、それから自分たちで小さくても素晴らしい庭をめざして庭づくりをつづけています.

BRICK WALL FLOWERS UNDER A RAINY SKY (梅雨空のレンガ塀の花たち)

It has been raining a lot in the rainy season and the plants in the garden are green and the weeds are as thick as they can be.

On the brick wall, the rose Pat Austin has started to bloom again in abundance.

Few pink roses are flowering at the moment, but the heuchera is blooming. This heuchera was planted more than 10 years ago in a pot attached to a statue hanging on the wall, and it has never died and blooms at this time of year.

The orange dahlia is still in bloom all the time.

And a pandrea planted last year behind the right-hand side of the brick wall has grown a vine and bloomed pink flowers for the first time.

梅雨でよく雨が降っていて、庭の植物は緑が茂り、雑草も負けずに茂っています。

レンガ塀では、バラのパットオースチンがまたたくさん咲き始めました。

ピンクのバラの花は今はほとんど咲きませんが、ヒューケラの花がさいています。このヒューケラは塀に掛けた彫像に付属した鉢に10年以上前に植えたものですが、ずっと枯れることもなくこの時期には花を咲かせます。

オレンジ色のダリアはまだずっと咲き続けています。

そして、昨年レンガ塀の右端の裏側に植えたパンドレアがツルを伸ばしてきて、初めてピンクの花を咲かせました。
