EARLY-FLOWERING CLEMATIS (早咲きのクレマチス)
Many large early-flowering clematis 'Shi-shin-den' are now in full bloom. They are trained to the arch of the Pierre de Ronsard roses, but they have started to bloom one step ahead of the roses. It is a beautiful, graceful flower with a beautiful purplish-blue colour. There are still some buds and we will be able to enjoy the beautiful flowers for a while.
大輪の早咲きクレマチス「紫宸殿」がたくさん咲いてきました. ピエールドゥロンサールのバラのアーチに一緒に誘引していますが、バラより一足先に咲きだしました. 美しい紫がかった青い色の優美な美しい花です. まだ蕾もいくつもあって、しばらく美しい花が楽しめそうです.

RAIN-SOAKED TREE PEONY FLOWERS (雨に濡れて咲く牡丹)
Peony flowers in the sun on a morning after rain. The flowers, still heavy with water droplets, are blooming face down. There is a strong scent of peonies in the air. The flowers are truly beautiful with their bright yellow and orange-red stamens.
雨が上がった朝、日差しをあびている牡丹の花. まだ水滴がたくさんついて、重くなった花は下を向いて咲いています. 辺りには強い牡丹の香りが漂っています. 目の覚めるような鮮やかな黄色と、オレンジ色から赤い色の混じったしべが本当に美しい花です.

THE FIRST ROSE TO BLOOM: ROSA BANKSIAE (最初に咲くバラ、白のモッコウバラ)
Rosa banksiae is the earliest blooming rose in our garden. It grows on a steep slope between the main garden and the potager, and one tree completely conceals the base of the garden room veranda. The flowers are a pale cream colour, almost white. The countless blooms are a reminder that the early summer rose season is almost upon us.
モッコウバラは私たちの庭でもっとも早く咲くバラです. メインガーデンとポタジェの間にある急勾配に育てていて、一本の木でガーデンルームのベランダの基礎部分を完全に隠してくれています. 花は白に近い淡いクリーム色です. 無数に咲いた花たちが、っもなく訪れる初夏のバラの季節が近いことを知らせてくれます.

OUR OPEN GARDEN IN FOUR WEEKS (オープンガーデンは4週間後です)
This year's Open Garden of our Petit English Garden will be held on the 13th and 14th of May. The garden is open from 10am to 4pm. The first charity event will be held by NGS Japan in four years. The event will be held as part of the Reiwa Open Garden, too. Information is posted on here about NGS Japan and here about the Reiwa Open Garden.
今年のうちのオープンガーデンは5月の13日（土）、14日（日）に開催予定です。開園時間は午前10時から午後4時までです。NGSジャパンによるチャリティー開催を4年ぶりに開催します。令和オープンガーデンとしても開催します。開催の詳細についてはNGSジャパンについてはこちら、令和オープンガーデンについてはこちらに掲載されています。
オープンガーデンは事前予約が必要です。

WHITE FLOWERS OF SHADE GARDEN (白い花咲くシェードガーデン)
The shade garden is located in the north-east shade of the garden room and receives sun for short periods in the mornings and afternoons. Under the plum tree grows a group of plants that mainly prefer semi-shade or shade.
The central and most leafy plant, the Acanthus mollis, spreads new leaves in autumn after a summer dormancy, keeps its beautifully shaped large leaves through the winter and produces its distinctive and exotic flowers in early summer with spikes of flowers. Surrounded by about three species of hostas, helleborus, Solomon's seal, Liriope muscari and Gymnaster savatieri are growing here. The mix of foliage of different shapes and colours makes this a beautiful flowerbed even when there are no flowers.
In April, the Solomon's seal and the white Gymnaster are in flower. The lily of the valley is also planted in a pot and carefully nurtured. All of these are wonderful perennials that remind us of spring.
シェードガーデンはガーデンルームの北東の陰にあり、日が当たる時間は朝と午後の短時間です. スモモの木の下に主に半日陰や日陰を好む植物たちを育てています.
中心にあって最も葉を茂らせているアカンサスモリスは夏の休眠期を経て秋に新しい葉を広げて、冬も美しい形の大きな葉を保ち、初夏に花穂を伸ばして独特なエキゾチックな花を咲かせます. その周りには3種類ほどのギボウシがあり、クリスマスローズ、アマドコロ、ヤブラン、ミヤコワスレなどが育っています. いろいろな形や色の葉が入り混じって花のない時期でも美しい花壇です.
四月には、アマドコロや白のミヤコワスレが花をさかせます. スズランも鉢植えして大切に育てています. どれも春を感じさせてくれる素晴らしい宿根草たちです.

WHEN BLUEBELLS ARE AT THEIR BEST (ブルーベル最高の時)
It's time for Bluebell Garden to be the most glorious time of year. English bluebells will soon be in full bloom. Bluebells glow in the sunlight through the trees.
Snowbell (Allium triquetrum) and bluebell compete with each other.
Fresh scents waft around the area.
ブルーベルの庭が一年で最も輝く時がやってきました. イングリッシュブルーベルが間もなく満開です. 木漏れ日が当たってブルーベルが輝きます.
スノーベル（ミツカドネギ）とブルーベルの競演が今見られます.
爽やかな香りがあたりに漂います.

SHOW TIME OF WISTERIA WITH BUMBLEBEES (フジとハナバチのショータイム)
Wisteria is blooming high above the bench beside the brick wall.
Finally, it's time to see the show!
The contrast between the blue-purple flower colour and the bright green of the young leaves looks amazing.

Bumblebees are busy flitting from flower to flower.
It’s a round, cute carpenter bee.
It has a yellow chest and a black belly.
The loud buzzing of wings can startle you.
ハナバチたちが花から花へと忙しく飛び回っています.
丸くて可愛いクマバチです.
胸が黄色でお腹は黒です.
大きな羽音に驚かされることもあります.

AZALEA 'KURUME' IN FULL BLOOM (クルメツツジ満開)
Azalea 'Kurume' is in full bloom. Five different coloured azaleas are planted in a row behind the brick wall. The beautiful flowers almost cover the entire surface, making it a very beautiful spring flower.
久留米ツツジが満開です. 5つの色のツツジをレンガ塀の裏側に一列に植え付けています. ほぼ表面を覆い尽くすように美しい花が咲くとても美しい春の花です.
