The shade garden is located in the north-east shade of the garden room and receives sun for short periods in the mornings and afternoons. Under the plum tree grows a group of plants that mainly prefer semi-shade or shade.
The central and most leafy plant, the Acanthus mollis, spreads new leaves in autumn after a summer dormancy, keeps its beautifully shaped large leaves through the winter and produces its distinctive and exotic flowers in early summer with spikes of flowers. Surrounded by about three species of hostas, helleborus, Solomon's seal, Liriope muscari and Gymnaster savatieri are growing here. The mix of foliage of different shapes and colours makes this a beautiful flowerbed even when there are no flowers.
In April, the Solomon's seal and the white Gymnaster are in flower. The lily of the valley is also planted in a pot and carefully nurtured. All of these are wonderful perennials that remind us of spring.
シェードガーデンはガーデンルームの北東の陰にあり、日が当たる時間は朝と午後の短時間です. スモモの木の下に主に半日陰や日陰を好む植物たちを育てています.
中心にあって最も葉を茂らせているアカンサスモリスは夏の休眠期を経て秋に新しい葉を広げて、冬も美しい形の大きな葉を保ち、初夏に花穂を伸ばして独特なエキゾチックな花を咲かせます. その周りには3種類ほどのギボウシがあり、クリスマスローズ、アマドコロ、ヤブラン、ミヤコワスレなどが育っています. いろいろな形や色の葉が入り混じって花のない時期でも美しい花壇です.
四月には、アマドコロや白のミヤコワスレが花をさかせます. スズランも鉢植えして大切に育てています. どれも春を感じさせてくれる素晴らしい宿根草たちです.
