I took the plunge and pruned it strongly in the middle of April.

At the end of May, there seemed no change.
But when I looked it closely, I found that a tiny bud was sprouting.
五月の終わり、特に変化ないようにみえましたが、
近くからよく見ると小さな芽が出てきているのを見つけました.

And now several new shoots are growing.
We hope it flowers next spring again.
